About Vocational Courses

Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics is one of the leading colleges to provide vocational training/vocational courses in addition to regular subjects. Across various colleges in South Mumbai; Lala Lajpatrai College offers Add-On-Vocational courses under 05 components namely:-

• Taxation Procedures and Practices
• Computer Applications
• Tourism and Travel Management
• Principles and Practices of Insurance
• E-Commerce

A student is given wide exposure and an option to choose any one component at the first-year level and the same is carried forward for the subsequent years at Degree College.

Student communities belonging to the weaker sections of the society also have a chance to opt for the subjects at a minimal fee rate for the entire year. The fee structure is as follows for a year.

 

Objectives:

1. To impart vocational education and establish linkages with industries by having regular lectures with industry experts.
2. The basic premise is to provide exposure to students in practical training (internship) in addition to regular classroom teaching.
3. To boost entrepreneurial talents and gain insights into the process of setting up entrepreneurial ventures.
4. To surpass the fear of below-average students and to boost the talent of advanced lecturers in getting acquainted with vocational subjects.
5. To acquaint the students with the importance of vocational education in the global context under the respective streams.
6. To generate employment and learning opportunities for graduates.
