Objectives

To present thoughts on New India 2050.

To analyze India’s growth status vis-à-vis other developed nations.

 

Report

Program started with felicitation and welcome address by Principal Dr. Neelam Arora. Followed by the introduction of the chief guest by Ms. Kranti Ukey.

Addressing the audience as the Chief Guest Mr. Wagh said, “Vision is the art of saying whatever is invisible to others’. Because action without vision is wastage of time. He presented his idea of vision 2050 through a short video clip and power point presentation driving the point that India’s GDP is growing fast and has been considered a fast-developing economy even racing ahead of Russia and replacing France with 6th place. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Shreyas Sharma who emphasized on the contribution of youth in nation building by throwing light on how each and every youth in his / her own way can contribute to society economically, socially and spiritually.

Technical Session I was chaired by Dr. Chandra Purkayastha, Principal NSS College followed with Research papers presented by students. In total fifteen papers were presented. In Technical Session II we had Research paper presentations by various faculties across the discipline and colleges of Mumbai. This session was chaired by Dr. Kishore Bhagat. The valedictory function was graced by the Chief-Guest Dr. Shridhar Shetty, Principal S. M. Shetty College who stated that ‘VISION 2050’ can be talked, highlighted and understood by and from different ways. Emphasizing on ICT Dr. Shetty said, Information Communication Technology too had its revolution in our country that has revolutionized the way people thought and worked. The valedictory function got over with the vote of thanks and distribution of certificates.

The seminar concluded with the formal vote of thanks proposed by vice Principal Mrs. Vidya Bhide.

 

Outcome

Audience were enlightened with various aspects of nation building in coming years. Large number of papers presented sharing different thoughts and manifestations of new India 2050.
