Plastic Waste Collection Drive - 26th - 18th August 2022

Objectives:

• To sensitize people towards the need to reuse and recycle plastic waste.
• To help the cause by collection of waste from households and donating it to the NGO for recycling.

DLLE Unit of Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce & Economics organised a plastic waste collection drive in the adjoining Govt. Colony, wherein students collected all types of plastic from homes and submitted in college. The activity was done in collaboration with NGO Bits & Bytes. 16 kg of plastic waste was collected and given to the NGO.

Outcome:

• People were made aware for the need to recycle plastic waste.
• Waste collected was donated to the NGO which would further be used to make mattresses, providing a livelihood the tribal women.
