Objectives

The conference was organized with the aim to assess and evaluate the impact of Covid -19 lockdown on major sectors of Indian economy and to find out solutions to improve those sectors which were worst affected by lockdown.

 

Report

One day national conference was organized in collaboration with IDOL, University of Mumbai and Technical partner IIDE on 13th February 2021.The conference started with the welcome address of the Principal Dr. Neelam Arora and Dr. Prakash Mahanwar, followed by the introduction of chief guest Dr. Dhanraj Mane by Dr. Vinay Pandit. Dr. Mane briefly spoke on the challenges India was facing amidst pandemic and the initiatives which Govt of India is taking to overcome the same. Key note speaker Dr. Prabodh Chobe was introduced by Dr. Arun Pujari. He gave detailed insight into what initiatives need to be taken by the policy makers to solve the crisis the economy was facing due to lock-down. This was followed by the enlightening address of Dr. Sneha Deshpande who emphasized on the positive aspects in development of small businesses during lock down period.

 

The three tracks sessions chaired by esteemed dignitaries, saw   large number of papers presented by the research scholars and faculties across the country on diverse areas pertaining to the theme of the conference.

The guest of the valedictory session was Mr. Atul Joshi (AGM, HO, Marketing In-Charge Bank of Maharashtra). He specially emphasized on the initiatives and schemes launched by Bank of Maharashtra to mitigate the Covid-19 effect on development of industries ,trade and commerce in the state.

Towards the end the formal vote of thanks was proposed by the vice -principal Ms. Vidya Bhide.

 

Outcome  

More than 40 papers were presented in each track covering topics like impact and implications of covid-19 on areas of digital marketing, trade and commerce, transport and tourism sector, retail sector, education, bio-diversity and wildlife.
