Objectives of the program:
- To create awareness among the students about the rich history of or country and its struggle for independence from the British rule.
- To create appreciation in the minds of the students about the contributions made by the freedom fighters in India during the independence
- To create a sense of pride in today’s youngsters about their country and its history
Brief report of the activity
BFM Department organized a web based quiz competition to commemorate the Independence day. The quiz was based on the history of Indian freedom struggle and Indian freedom fighters. The quiz was open to students of all colleges and saw an extremely stupendous response. Certificates were awarded to the participants and the top three winners were given merit certificates.
Outcome of the program
- Through the quiz on Indian freedom struggle, the students got to know many facts with which they were hitherto
- The students gained an appreciation for our country’s freedom fighters and their hard struggle during the independence
