Gurudwara Visit-13th January 2023

Number of Participants: 58 (32 male, 26 female)

Objectives:

  1. To understand and experience a typical Gurudwara
  2. To explore and witness the religious impact of Sikhism.
  3. To understand the working of a Langar and witness community participation.

Report: The Punjabi Association organised a Gurudwara visit where all the participants were expected to present in traditional attire at Gurudwara Shri Dashmesh Darbar, Sion. The participants were asked to settle & be the part in the ongoing praying session. After attending the praying session, the HOD of BAMMC Department, Dr. Sangeeta Makkad took all participants around the Gurudwara. To conclude the day, the participants took Langar and Kada Prasad.

Outcome:

  1. Students reaped the benefits of the peace that the prayers imbibe.
  2. Students had the opportunity to taste the simple, yet rich and delicious langar.
  3. Students absorbed and imbibed Punjabi culture.
