Objectives of the event:

• To encourage the entrepreneurs to sell, market & price the goods/ services amidst the virtual platform.
• To motivate various start-ups and NGOs across the city to showcase their talent and ability.
• To give a gateway to think beyond the obvious and support every local & unprivileged seller.

Virtual Entrepreneurship Mela 2021#digicarnival scheduled on 10th March 2021, is a platform for budding entrepreneurs to sell, market & price the products & services amidst the virtual platform organized by the Department of Add-on vocational courses and Rotaract Club of Lala Lajpatrai College jointly with Entrepreneurship Development Cell in collaboration with University of Mumbai. 24 virtual stalls were put up by students of various courses of diverse colleges, start-ups, and NGOs witnessing a footfall of more than 600 viewers on zoom and YouTube. This platform gave a gateway to think beyond the obvious and sail the ship of Atma Nirbhar Bharat rooted by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ms. Jayanti Kathale, Founder and Managing Director of Purnabrahma inaugurated & set the Virtual Entrepreneurship Mela open. NGOs who took the initiative and participated in it by exhibiting their stalls were Kshitij, Women’s India Trust (WIT), we are the able foundation, and Fellowship of Physically Handicapped (FPH) who were also our philanthropy partners for the event.

Outcomes of the event:

• Entrepreneurs and students will learn the skill of marketing, selling, and entrepreneurial traits.
• NGOs and other small-scale start-ups would get an opportunity to showcase their products.
