Women Entrepreneurship - 26th February 2018



Main Objectives:

  • To create a pool of ideas for the youth of the nation so as to promote entrepreneurship To promote entrepreneurial skills among the students, through mentoring sessions with mentors related to the theme of the event.
  • Enable entrepreneurial mindset.

Inventure 2018 – an initiative by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Lala Lajpatrai College in collaboration with

1) Step – up – 360 in your startup,

2) WIFE (Women Innovation Entrepreneurship Foundation),

3) startup.net enabling innovation,

4) ISDI / ISMI,

5) Global Mentor Academy,

has always been a benchmark entrepreneurial event at an intercollegiate level soaring high on its completion of a third successful year. Inviting B-Plans from student aspirants across various colleges. This year the event highlighted the theme of ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ on 26th February 2018.

The distinguished jury who witnessed & evaluated the B- plans and gave their comments were:

C. Mr. Murtuza Haryanwala (Silicon Valley Entrepreneur, Angel Investor & Product Evangelist)

D. Ms. Rajashree Rajadhyax (Founder – meetkalakar.com)

E. Ms. Richa Rajadhyax (Founder – meetkalakar.com) F. Ms. Bala Deshpande (Senior Managing Director at New Enterprise Associate).

Ms. Gulati - our keynote speaker in her inaugural speech exclaimed the apt theme chosen for the B-plan across the colleges of Maharashtra and also brought to light the importance of women across sections and life stages i.e., currently in or looking to restart careers or embarking on an entrepreneurial journey through innovative, workable and sustainable strategies through her start-up venture -back to the front. Various B-plans were presented by budding entrepreneurs across colleges of Maharashtra in the light of the theme of women's entrepreneurship and received high accolades from the esteemed jury. Carniventure - a new initiative by team Inventure under which innovative stalls were exhibited. A student named Ms. Neha Chavan from SIWS College won the best stall trophy for her quelling paper art stall. Nearly 15 colleges participated in this event.

Outcome:

● Sensitized the importance of Entrepreneurship Platforms for young budding entrepreneurs
