Inspire, Innovate, Create under the theme Gig Economy - 25th & 26th February 2019

 


EDC organized its landmark Two-day Entrepreneurial event INVENTURE on 25th & 26th February 2019 on the theme ‘Gig Economy’. The highlights of the events were mentoring by renowned panelists, Business Model Canvassing, B-plan presentations, Seed funding, etc. 12+ colleges participated in the events, and five B-plans were presented at the intra-level. The jury who marked their presence were:

  2. Mr. Swapnil D. Dhotre(Founder Food Co Works)
  3. Mr. Ajinkya Bhasme(Academician / Entrepreneur)
  4. Mr. Rajat Singhania(CVO-Socio RAC)
  5. Mr. Ankit Kimtee(Co-Founder-Genie Talk)
  6. Mr. Devesh Chawla(Founder, CEO Chatur Ideas)
  7. Dr. Kishori Bhagat Academician (Member BOS) 

A workshop on feasibility analysis of B-plans was taken by Dr. Rajeshwari Ravi (Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship / Vice Principal - HR College). Intercollegiate winners were HR College of Commerce and Economics for the plan JT Party organizers, followed by S.K. Somaiya (first runner-up) for the B-plans ‘Rano Creations’ that emphasized gift items, N.M. College won the second runner-up for Nexus (handling electronic gadgets through mobile phones).

Swachhshree Dr. Subramanya Kusnur (CEO - Aquacraft Project Pvt. Ltd.) (Keynote speaker) in his inaugural address, highlighted that the theme GIG Economy empowers millennials not only through social entrepreneurship by converting our passion to a profession but with versatile and sustainable business models.

The technical session for the first day (25th February 2019) started with Business Model Canvassing by the teams evaluated by the jury members. Both inter and intra-collegiate participants presented their business proposals.

The second day of Inventure commenced with a workshop on ‘Feasibility Analysis of B-Plan’ by Dr. Rajeshwari Ravi (Resource Person / Clinical Professor / Entrepreneurship / Vice-Principal HR College) who aptly spoke on the topic and created a story line for Project Feasibility Analysis that captivated the student and staff attendees.

Finalists after the first-day eliminations presented their B-Plan in front of the esteemed jury that had a combination of seed funds/academicians/entrepreneurs. The final day ended with a valedictory address by Prof. (Dr) Sunita Shailajan (Ruia College) who has to her credit 02 patents and has been a core researcher with her versatile innovations.
