Inspire, Innovate & Create #tryuridea - 10th February 2020



Objectives of the event:

  • To create a pool of ideas from the youth of the nation so as to promote Sustainable Development.
  • To promote entrepreneurship skills among the students through mentoring sessions with mentors.
  • To install an entrepreneurship ecosystem amongst the student community.

EDC organized its pre–eminent event of the year, One Day Intercollegiate Entrepreneurial event INVENTURE 2020 – Inspire, Innovate & Create #tryuridea in collaboration with Incubation for Developing Entrepreneurship and Start-ups - MU Ideas and Institutions Innovation Council (Ministry of HRD Initiative) and Startup Ecosystem Partner - Navayuvak Entrepreneurs on 10th February 2020. The highlights of the events were mentoring by renowned panelists, B-plan presentations, seed funding, etc. 15+ colleges participated in the events and four B-plans were presented at the intra level. The Chief Guest for Inventure was Mr. Bharat Munim (Managing Director- OMLET Pvt. Ltd.). The jury who marked their presence was

  2. Mr. Rahul Ahuja (Founder & CFO of RB Constructions)
  3. Mr. Yash Bhargawa (Venture Capitalist – EVIORT)
  4. Mr. Aaron Fernandez (Technical Advisor & Growth Hacker – Last Moment Tuitions)
  5. Mr. Meet Shah (Program Manager - Navayuvak Entrepreneurs)

The valedictorian for the event was Mr. Aadesh Suryarao (CEO – MU Ideas, University of Mumbai). Intercollegiate winners were Mithibai College for the plan ‘Utopian Farms (Unique method of organic farming)’, followed by Maharashtra College (first runner-up) for the B-plans ‘Tambe Sweets (Organic Sweets)’, ICLE College won the second runner-up for ‘abate. in (Platform for second-hand books)’. 

Intra-collegiate winners were Ritik Jain for the plan ‘Stock Cleda (Dead Stock)’ followed by Kiran Yadav for the plan ‘Hostime (An application)’ followed by Gossiya Shaikh and group for the plan ‘Super Soil (Management of Wet Waste)’.

Outcomes of the events:

  • Top-notch teams from various colleges pitched their innovative ideas in front of esteemed panelists. 
  • The teams and other volunteers gained insights from our chief guest and other judges about entrepreneurship, start-ups, investments, pitching an idea, etc.
