The SFC Department of Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce & Economics organized a one day international conference on 18th Feb 2017 in collaboration with Shri Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University, Chudela, Rajasthan titled “Demonetization - Is it the End, or A new Beginning”. The conference was convened by Dr. Rajesh Mankani & Dr. Jayadev Kadli & was chaired by Dr. Neelam Arora & Dr. Rakhee Kelaskar. Mr. Sudhir Kaushik SVP & Regional Head – Mumbai Region, Lakshmi Vilas Bank was the Chief Guest & Mr. Shriram Mahurkar – Senior Regional Manager, Regional Office, Central Bank of India gave the keynote address at the conference. The conference was organized with the intention of providing a platform to academicians, young scholars and researchers, policy makers, practitioners & the business fraternity, to participate and express their view points from different perspectives on the main theme topic of the conference.The conference saw a huge number of participants from all over India and even abroad, and a number of thecnical papers were presented giving different perspectives of the participants. 

Best Research Paper presenters were selected by the esteemed jury & the valedictory session was presided over by Ms. Matri Vikam, Senior Consultant, Ernst & Young, Mumbai. The conference saw a contribution of more than 98 research papers out of which around 55 papers were presented in front of the panel of judges. The research papers were published in a special issue of the conference proceedings with ISBN number.
